Since I was flamed when I asked this question in another thread. I'd figure I start another one. Here it goes.I'm burning video folders with Nero Express and after completion. When I try to read the disc back in from the drive, I can't view anything the structure appears to be that of a blank disc. I can retrieve a .iso with DVD Decrypter but that blows, takes forever using 2X space 2 view the file that was supposed 2 retrive HD space. Can someone help me fix this so I can see just the files not have to create an .iso Windows XP

Post your last Nero log and we'll take a peek.
Have you tried playing the disc in a dvd player?

When you say video folders do you mean you're adding a video_ts folder? Just putting 1 movie on the disc?

Nero saves the last 10 logs in a text file - just need the last one.
    You can find them here:
    Nero 6 - program files>ahead>nero>nerohistory
    Nero 7 - program files>nero>nero 7>core>nerohistory
    Edit out the serial # too - begins w/ 1A, 1C or 5C.

Thanks binkie7 for your assistance. I'm basically tring 2 burn a data DVD that contain several small video files like .avi, .mpg. To free up HD space. Not a DVD folder like a VIDEO_TS, those kind burn and read like they should. Just the .avi, .mpg wont appear on the dvd after I burn them. I don't know what happened I have like a hundred of these types of disc that read fine. Just now it started doing this? Heres the log file, thanks 4 giving me the path 2 find it. I can't read these so I'll post the 1st and last one.

These look like early logs - see if you can find one that has a date like this 26.5.2007

In 2 of the logs above alot of memory is in use - 75% and 89%
So no multitasking and close any unneeded programs.

Another log has this - Can only write at 6x instead of 8x,
because speed of source data is too slow

Your hard drive is in DMA so this shouldn't be problem. Maybe using an external hd connected by usb 1.1 (?).
Keeping up on the pc maintenance bit too - disc cleanup, defrag and virus scan?
You might also want to run a ChkDsk - scans & fixes problems (if any) on the hard drive. guide.

Looks like your using good media too - Taiyo Yuden.

Another option try ImgBurn to add and burn these files. Use the build mode to add and burn them.
It's the updated burning program from the guy that did decrypter.
Give that one a go and see if the pc can then read the disc.

edit: typos - hope I got them all :)

Check out BestBuy or CompUsa if you're in the US - they have 120 gig external hd's on up starting at $65.
Or newegg.com might be able to pick up a deal.

But no 1.1 connection - too slow. Most use 2.0 usb or firewire ports.

Yeah your pc is like a car - needs it's maintenance to run good :)
