Your version of Nero isn't the best. Run The Nero 6 Clean Tool and the Driver Clean Tool and then install version 6.6.0.18:

    http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html
    http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Driver_CleanTool_and_RegistryChecker.html

    Package 1: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2: http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

    or

    Package 1: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2: http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Have you tried using ImgBurn (free) to burn the disk. Create an image file in your authoring software (DVD Shrink). Then burn that created image file with ImgBurn.

I'm guessing your burner came with your system, maybe an HP system? You'll have to check with the vendor's support site to see if there's a firmware update for the burner.

You might also try some different media like Verbatim or Made in Japan labeled Sony or Fuji. Taiyo Yuden is also primo media and can be purchased online. The MIJ Sony and Fuji will generally be TY media.

The Roxio CDRAL driver is installed. If you continue to experience problems, that driver made need to be removed as it can conflict with Nero in some system configurations.

Go to your computer manufacturer's web support site to locate firmware, if it exists. This appears to be a burner manufactured by Samsung/Toshiba for a computer vendor.

Did you try other media like +R Verbatim?
