    Hi to all!
Tried out nero showtime (with nero 6 ) for the first time and dvd playback does not produce any sound. Playing avi files and mp3's, sound output is ok, only when playing dvds the problem occurs. This is so from Original dvds, backup dvds and from files generated by Dvd Shrink. Using power dvd and windows media player, all is fine. Any ideas why this occurs? Am using win xp on a 2.6 pentium.

    Try downloading an AC3 codec.

Where can I download an Ac3 Codec? And if both Windows media player and Power Dvd work fine, do I still need this codec? Thanks

Hmmm. I doubt it will work since you mention no problems with the other programs. If you still want an AC3 code you can get one here: http://ac3filter.sourceforge.net/

Try corresponding with Nero support. As a last resort you can try uninstalling all Nero products and then reinstall.
