    Hello.

Try updating to Nero 6.6.0.18 the most stable version of Nero 6 by far.

    - write down your Nero program serial number.
    - uninstalll your current version of Nero.
    - run the Nero 6 Clean Tool: http://www.nero.com/nero6/enu/Nero_6_CleanTool.html
    - download and install version 6.6.0.18:
    Package 1:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe
    Package 2:
    http://www.dvdplusvideo.com/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe

Try burning at 4X instead of 2.4X.

Have you investigated whether your burner's firmware is up to date at the Acer support site. Matshita basically only sells OEM burners and doesn't support their product. Product support is done by the computer vendor.

Laptop burners are more finicky than desktop burners. Matshita makes poor burners in my opinion.

If the above doesn't solve your problem, try some different media like 8X Verbatim.

There has been some speculation on the boards that Acer laptops sometimes generate this error when burning if they overheat. I've seen no evidence to support this but have you tried burning after letting your laptop rest. If your lappy has just come through a punishing compression phase when you try to burn, it may be overheated.

    I hope this helps.
