Nero update problems with 7.0.8.2

Although I do not use firewire as smodak does, I see no reason why we should have to disable firewire. Nero has to fix their program to allow us to use it or give our money back.

I dont have firewire, but i did update to this version of Nero 7 today, and so far no problems. I havent used the Vision part though.

My suggestion for the crashing problem is to check your device drivers and see if there is a conflict with a video card or something like that. Nerovision is the part that converts avis and does video capture, so i could see it crashing if you have a device driver conflict where two or more things are trying to use the same IRQs for example.

Okay. I've played with Nero all day, and I can't find any bugs in this one. Good job dudes. You have fixed it finally.

Do you know if they got 6x fixed? I dont use it anymore, but sooner or later they are going to have to fix it. I suggest 6.6.0.18 for 6x users, and it is still working/non-buggy, and downloadable for now.
I waited for 2 version 7 updates to pass, and looks like i waited long enough.

 

Nope, haven't used that version in a few months, since they ironed out 7.0.1.4b. Never had any problems with the OEM version which came with my Sony DRU-800A burner.

 

It is the firewire cable box connection. If I go to device manage and disable Motorola 6412 Firewire AVC Device, nero vision works fine. So, when Nero Vision starts, it tries to list and enumerate all capture devices and that somehow is conflicting with this Motorola cable tuner. The moment I enable it and start Nero Vision 4, the PC crashes again (BSOD).

Try disabling your firewire devices. Not under the OHCI firwire devices but under A/V devices, capture cards or Imaging devices. You mentioned you have cable box connected via firerire. Disable the cable box device in your device manager and start Nero Vision. I am sure it will work.

Anybody has any other ideas as to how to make it work?
