    Hi all

    I am new to DVD burning, but have made it up to a point;
    1) a DVD was ripped as a 'Backup' using 'Smart Ripper', which created a 7 gig directory

    2) I then used Nero ReCode to make this directory into a 4.7 gig one, to fit onto a single DVD.

    3) I then use Nero smartstart in DVD mode to create a DVD video disc. I try to add the recoded .vob files to my project, but about half of them can't be added: red error message says 'error: unable to load d: empvideo_tsvideo1_1' which is the name of about 3 or so files which can't be recognised. For some weird reason other .vob files of the same size are able to be loaded.

    I am stumped.

    Maybe someone else has had this problem.

    I dont userstand something,

    R U trying to fit more than one movie to a 4.7 dvd disk?

    If so, in Nero Startsmart>DVD> select,, copy multiple dvd movies to one.

    Nero Recode will open asking to import the titles.
    You can choose to fit to the disk, which is usually checked.

    There is no need to Recode the movied twice, thats when you get your error.

    No, I am just trying to copy one DVD, which has been recoded so as to fit on one disk.

    Just import the movie into the recode menu and burn, thats all.

    Let Recode do the whole job start to burn. I would also use DVDDecrypter as SmartRipper hasn't been updated in years.

    Thanks alot will try those suggestions. By the way, forgot to mention that NEro Express was the burning program being used. I tried normal Nero Burning ROM but it only made a frisbee out of my DVD.
