If it's an AVI file, load it into VirtualDub.
    Click 'Audio' 'No Audio'
Click 'Video' 'Direct Stream Copy' and save as a new AVI.

Open Nero Vision 4, 'Make DVD' and load the AVI, click on the window and select 'Edit'.
Either drag the new 'WAV' file onto 'Audio 1' or record your new track.
    Proceed to burn.

BTW if the intention was to change the AVI audio, you would load the new wav into VirtualDub and either recompress it to MP3 or leave it uncompressed and resave the AVI again.
