Hi, I have Nero 7 Premium. When i try to burn an AVI movie file sized 700 MB it becomes over 4 GB when i add it to nero vision. I used to burn avi's all the time on older versions. Why has this problem started all of a sudden? It increases size automatically on other file types too. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks
An AVI file of around 700mb equals a normal length movie of 2+hours, this is normal for the AVI file to blow out to around 4+gb as the AVI file is a compressed file. Likewise for MPEG files. I cannot understand your statement as above because for as long as I have been converting AVI files to DVD it's Always been the same result.
Yep, gwen is right. Any ordinary 700MB of AVI file can transform into 4GB easily, that's just the way how it goes.
Thanks for the reply guys; what format should i use then so the size remains the same? Is there any program to convert the AVI's?
No matter which prog you use the size once converted to DVD will still become around the 4gb mark, I use NeroVision as in my basic guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_jump.cfm/356114/2104525 you can also use ConvertXtoDVD but the trial version leaves a "watermark"
