I used to be able to convert 5.1 multichannel to 2 channel stereo
with Nero 7 Wave Editor but not any more. I keep getting a message,
"An Error Occurred While Converting Sample Format"
How can I solve this problem?

    Hi,
Ummm.... Have you tried to re-install Nero Wave Editor?
    That might do it.

No I haven't although I have recently installed the latest version of Nero and that didn't make a difference.

Have you tried a different audio track?

Have you tried converting something else? Do you get the message all the time or only on a few select tracks?

I have tried different tracks from same source and tracks from other
sources with the same result. The only way I can get around this is to
burn to CD,the conversion takes place during the process although when I
did it this time,I had a "wow" effect, just like a vinyl record being
played on a turntable where the speed wasn't constant.
