   Is there some way to put several music clips together using nero wave editor and make them transition smoothly? I have tried the preset fades but they are too drastic.

   Wave Editor has several options for mixing the music to sound the way you wish. You might also try using SoundTrax which can overlap the audio files and made for mixing audio tracks.
