ProDiscs suck almost as bad memorex.

Try better media. Sony, Ritek, Taiyo Yuden, Verbatim....

(why is the post I posted first on the bottom? That is weird...)

Turn the dma back to on. Here's a guide:
http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=101616
You also have nvidia drivers so this guide may not help. For that the last post in this thread should help:
http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/1/323802

Now the other problem may be all your drive all connected on the same ide channel. This could be the cause for the internal target failure.
Set you HP + Memerox writer to the secondary channel - ypur hard drives set to the primary. All should have a separate power supply.

The discs Prodisc are okay but I think trying the 1st 2 may help you out.

Can you explain how to Set my HP + Memerox writer to the secondary channel - and my hard drives set to the primary? I am new to the internals of the PC. Thanks in advance for the help

@coma12
You'll need to take off the case of the pc and remove the 2 dvd/cd drives from the primary cable and locate the secondary ide cable to attach them. You should also have separate power connectors from the power supply. A few other things too but here's a guide from HP to help you out:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/...c=en&product=57620〈=en&docname=lpg40238
If your not comfortable w/ this you may need to get someone who is. Not really hard but better to get it done right.
