I have a problem copying mp3 files to audio CDs using Nero 6.6.0.0 burning.

Whenever I try to paste the mp3 files for copying I get the following message

It says "Cannot add files ........., Reason: The file is not supported, continue displaying details about invalid files?".

The mp3 files will play on the computer so I don't know why they can't be copied.

    Any help would be appreciated

check and make sure the mp3s are encoded at 44.1khz samplerate. almost all are, but that would be my frist guess.

I checked using AVI codec and G Spot and they are encoded at 44.1kHz. Do you have any other suggestions?

saying "file not supported" would lead me to beleive that the codec for mp3 isn't installed, even though it should come bundled with it. try going to nero's website and searching for a mp3 codec. if no luck, check the help file. as a last resort, you could always convert the mp3s to wav using something like EAC or dBPowerAMP

I've downloaded the mp3 codec but the following folder does not exist.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins with Nero 6.

When I go in to Common Files I can't find a folder called Ahead.

    Could that be the problem?
How do I get round this?
How do I create this folder?

I reckon an install of v6.6.0.6 would fix it or even just a reinstall of what you have already

badgerboy you should try using musicmatch to burn them if that doesnt work try windows media player it should convert the files for you so you can tranfer them to cd.
