Just bought a retail version of Nero7 Ultra and there is a problem trying to update. When I open "nero Product Setupdate" and try to update I get an error that says "MSI starter has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I worked once when I just installed it but was unable to get the update. After the first time is jsy gives that error message. Can anyone suggest something to try. I downloaded an update manually but, of course, it will not install. TIA.
I would suggest you uninstall your Nero, run this clean tool, http://ww2.nero.com/nero7/enu/Nero7_CleanTool.html and then try for fresh install. I cannot recommend the latest versions of Nero (7.0.2.3 / 7.0.2.3b/ 7.2.3.2) I recommend 7.0.8.2 available from this link http://www.filehippo.com/download_nero_7_premium/?845
That version seems to be unavailable from the link you gave me. When I doenload the update do I just use the serial number that i have for the retail version?
