Today (15th Dec) I installed Nero8. But when I try to burn a UDF DVD, it took more than 55 minutes to burn complete @ 16x speed. Earlier with older version it tool less than 6 minutes. What can be the problem? I even uninstalled & reinstalled ero but no use. I have P4 3 GHz PC with Win XP pro (SP2) installed wit 2 GB RAM. Please help.
Is the DMA on for the drive? The rule for burning is to burn at half the rated speed of the media. I burn at 4x most of the time. It take only marginally longer and gives better results in the long run. Slow to at least 8x. P.S. Post a Nero history log.
I don't know how to activate DMA mode. I tried with device manager but there's no option for DMA mode. I have even tried 8x. It also take more tha an hour to finish.
