hi guys i am new to this dvd burning stuff,i have vista and nero 8,where do i start? i havent a clue,is this the only program i need to copy dvd

hi guyz thanks for the info its great here ok i ditched nero 8 for imgburn ? now have dvd shrink 3.2 and dvdfabhd decrypter. do i now have the basics? and if so how do i convert movies ive d loaded from places like mininova?
