Hello everyone! I am new here so I just would like to say hi first. Ok here is my problem: I just got NeroVision Express and I am loving it! BUT I am trying to upload a file from my computer and it doesn't seem to work! It keeps crashing NeroVision Express! I even tried to upload it again from the DVD and put it on my computer and a different way and it still did the same thing! This is the only file that seems to be giving me trouble. What should I do? Thanks in advance!
Hi. We need a little bit more information than that. What kind of file are you trying to work on? AVI? Are you trying to rip a DVD with NVE? You'll need Recode for that job... Have you tried Alkohol's excelent guide? He uses NV4 but it's the same as NVE but with some fancy colours... http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/272946 Oh btw, what version of Nero are you running?
@ permiggs - First I would like to thank you for replying. Now back to the problem lol. I am running NeroVision Express 3... I did not know there was a Version 4, someone refered me to this one and I downloaded it. I see now that it's not just "The One Video" giving me problems, it's a handful. I uploaded VIDEO_TS.IFO from a DVD file. A bunch of them worked, just a few now don't. Also, when it asks to convert the video into one should I do that? How do I go about doing this now and can I upgrade to NVE 4?
Sorry to double post but I just tried it again and here is the error message I get: Runtime error! Program: C:\ (It says where the program is located) R6025 - pure vitual funtion call What does this mean?
NVE4 comes with the full version of Nero7, if you have Nero6 then thats the version you have NVE3. Which version of Nero6 are you using.
I am using version 6.6.0.8 is this a good or bad version? Also, I can use DVD files for NVE 3? because I did use a few but some won't work but some will.
Thats a pretty good version however you can try to update to this version 6.6.0.18 which is also a good stable version http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/Nero-6.6.0.18_no_yt.exe Package 2 http://httpdl1.usw.nero.com/software/Nero6/NVE-3.1.0.21_no_yt.exe Make sure you use GOOD quality discs such as Verbatim or Sony (made in japan), stay away from memorex and burn at around 4X
Some don't work because they're rigged. This sounds like you're trying to just make a backup of a DVD. If that's the case, then you should try Recode 2 instead of NVE. Here's a little guide for you, made by yours truly: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/316083 You get better results and everything, not only that, if you get a proggy called AnyDVD and have it running in the background, it will 'clean out' the CSS protection... You can download the trial off their site (www.slysoft.com), and if you like it, just buy the serial. Trust me, with life time updates, it's well worth it!
@ gwendolin Thank you so much for the update! I think this helped me a little bit. @ permiggs THANK YOU SSOOO MUCH! All, I had to do was recode the DVD file. I used Nero Digital to do that. So now when I covert it back to DVD it should be fine with the movie correct. And I already had these movie files onto my computer. I used DVD Shrink, and these files are old anyway. It's from the read-alond DVD from Disney. I have all these DVD's by the way, just making a music video DVD. Anyway, thanx again! you all rock here! PS, how do I make a video from clips from a movie and put them together and then have like one of my MP3's for the sound in the background?
Good to know you're winning! I don't know... You might be able to do it with NVE, BUT i think there's issues with it, I'm sure i heard something about that here somewhere, but i'm pretty sure DVD-Lab Pro will do it... I use it to put subtitles in my Manga films. I know you can add a lot of stuff to the video, including sound. But why don't you have a browse in the different forums about video authoring? You might find just what you want...
"PS, how do I make a video from clips from a movie and put them together and then have like one of my MP3's for the sound in the background? " I use Nero Vision Express for this. I didnt think it would work flawlessly, but my most recent burn was a combination of miniDVD cam mpeg footage AND AVI footage off a minidv tape cam. I was able to re-assemble and edit the raw footage, and then add my own music. You just browse for media, and drop the mp3's onto the audio track. You can even kill the sound of the original track completely by reducing the volume to zero. It takes a while to get used to (and NERO will take a loooong time to crunch down the AVI's) but once you do it a few hundred times its no big deal. Also nero chokes on playing the avi files in the edit preview window. You have to use the time code radio buttons to step thru to your edit points but other than that it's all good.
