network problem....

    im in college and im connected to the school's network and they have it set up so i cant play games online. does anyone know of a way to get around this? (im dieing without my unreal tournament online!!!!) PLZ HELP!

    Basically you need a shell account on the outside running a ssh server and port forward to it. You can get a program like SecureCRT that does ssh in Windows. Configure it to port forward the port used for UT, UDP 7777 on the original UT, not sure for other versions, to your ssh server on the outside. Usually the SSH port of 22 is open on the firewall since ssh is used for managing the firewall. Google for ssh tunnel and port forwarding and you should find some info.

    ummm...ya i downloaded secure crt, but honestly i have no idea what im doing.
