Sorry to hear you lost 240GB of data Sammo. Guess it was the luck of the draw. Think I'd top myself if that happened to me. That's why any hard drives full of data I now remove from my system to limit the risk.
Yeah, I've been quoted £280 for recovery (works out about $490). I wonder whether it's viable, but there's lots of stuff I want back. The worst bit about it was that the 200GB ive been quoted for (the 40 was only the OS mainly) had 184GB on it, about 2GB short of the limit.
