ok I'll most likely get that vid card... about the cpu though, Is the cache size significant? it's only 1MB... they have an E4400 with 2MB cache for 125 free shipping... what do you think?

Sammorris just curious why you think the HD3870 is more futureproof than the 8800gt?The 8800gt seems to be faster in nearly every bench,do you know something I dont lol....

The HD3870 isn't quite as fast but it supports DX10.1 and SM4.1, which the nvidia cards don't.

lol ok I guess I'm gonna change my order to the HD3870. Stick with the E2180 though, and not the E4400?? Guess cache doesn't matter that much...

btw, I ordered an antec sonata III case which has a 500W antec earthwatts PSU... is it good??? I just got it delivered today, so I can't wait for the rest of my parts! It was only 80 dollars including shipping, after mail in rebate... I couldn't pass on it, considering I was planning on spending 60-80 on a PSU anyway...

It's not the best PSU out there by any means, but it should be adequate for your needs.
As for the E4400, cache does sort of matter, but it's not a huge difference.
