Hi, I'm new to the forums. Greta site too.

I recently bought an MSI DVD burner for my pc.
Then after about 1 month it started going funny.
When i play DVDs from the drive the are all "skippy", cracks/pops in the sound, and jerky frames.

I was playing with media player, (which used to work fine). Tried other software, same prob, so i returned it.

    They sent me http://www.msicomputer.com/product/p_spec.asp?model=DR8P&class=osd

It worked fine, but now its started with the same problem!

Please help as the supplyer had no idea what was wrong with the first one!

    Thanks alot

What brand/type media and how fast are you burning them?

What software and methods are you using?

I use Media player, (which used to work fine), and Power DVD 5. Both have the same skipping problem that has just occured from nowhere!
