didn't see any mention of Galway. Do you have a link to a website where i could find out without having to trawl through all the posts.

Is this the DTT trial you are picking up lenny, which is only in dublin at the moment (or within reach of the DTT transmitter)

I don't have any better link then the boards.ie link in my previous post, some time there's nothing for it but to trawl, but folk on that forum/thread are picking up the DDT trial in many parts of Ireland.

Yeah, have seen that over on boards.ie. depending on your location to mount leinster and the type of equipment you are using lots of people outside dublin can get the DTT trial. Wonder how crackable that conax encyption is.

it's well cracked, some posters on boards.ie claim that their TV's with digital tuners have an menu option to remove the encryption flag from the channels, I can't confirm this, I also have an Invion dvd recorder with a dvb-t tuner & that also picks up the DTT trial channels, I got this from ibood.com €99euro,..full spec with analogue & digital tuners + a 160gb HDD,..a nice little bargain.

    Hi
I bought a eurovox tx a while back and it works fine in Limk
when i hooked the box up in kilkee (CLARE) over the weekend and did
a scan no channels were picked up. i reset the box to factory setting and rescanned with the same result. i have a ch**us mmds jerrold box working ok with about 6channels do i need to point the downconverter in a different direction or what am i doing wrong.
    Thanks.

i checked the ch**us site and it says digital available. i would say the jerrold is an analogue box as it is pretty old.
do i need to change the downconverter or mesh dish? it looks identical (freq make and model)to the one i have in limerick that works.

the antenna might need to be pointed to a different transmitter as I don't think they are all digital enabled, did you check the direction of others in the kilkee area

I don't think there is a analogue only ex chorus mmds transmitter left over.
You shouldn't mix it up with old analogue only cable networks.
If the aerial is very old it could be possible that there is a downconverter which convert to a higher frequency range than the newer ones.

I can only speak for the eurovox TX & they work very well, all channels come through fine,..
I have setup a few in the last while & no problems, they also autoroll when CH**us/youpissy change the keys.

Hello there. Just hoping someone could tell me what i need to do to take advantage of this "service". I live in Shannon Co. Clare. I have Chorus Digital. No satellite though, the wire comes into the house from a box which is on the wall of my house, de box services my house and our neighbours who are also with Chorus. So can anyone tell me what box i need to get or if even it would work for me. Thanks!

Just leaving :) You can use something like Eurovox,The Box or Box Super for Ch**us cable.

If you have an MMDS feed either communal or from a rooftop arial you can use either the Box T or Eurovox TX, or any other DVB T device.

Hi all i'm just wondering i had a EV max V with 140+ channels since moving to the stick i've been told to get a EV -TX do you still get the 140+ stations with this type of box or does it depend on the area?

    Thanks

As said Mark, you will get less channels on MMDS and yes it is area dependent also.
