    hi m8,

ha ha, i smell another special olympic slagaton starting..
nope not calling "you" a liar... no offence ment..

but if he has it working what we need is the software he used!?

we can exchange witty comments forever but what we really need is some proof.

and apologies for suggesting your m8 was telling porkies..

I don't want to get into a slagging match as i have better things to do as i'm sure does everyone else does.

The boxes were tested in various parts of ireland and worked fine for 8 weeks before release ,My friend does have a box as i send it to him so there are no porkies there.

I'm not sure why the boxes are not picking up the keys, is this an area specific problem or a problem full-stop ?

The below file was the test one and is the same as the public release, please try and post back any results.

The problem with all these new MMDS boxes seems to be caused by the fractured nature of the Ch**us network itself where different areas have different home frequencies, the TX is not the only box having problems on the Ch**us MMDS network.

Is anyboody out there who got a regular bought eurovox tx going?
It looks like the test boxes and the boxes which reached the marked are not exactly the same.

Sorry I know I am repeating my question but will this work on analogue MMDS? Its for ashbourne in Meath.
Any body test it out there?
I was told they will only work on digital MMDS and chorus, I just need confirmation before I waste money buying one.
    Thanks
    Sham

Hi, just to confirm for people, the TX definately works in Wexford and Kildare. I got one and my brother has one in Kildare. Here is what I did.

Flashed it with the 23rd November image, scanned for the channels (it found about 70). Put it on Sky Sports and hey presto in about 2 mins it cleared the channels. The updating went past 100% up to about 150% before the channels came on, but I can definately confirm it works perfectly in both these areas.

You can check to see if you have the right software on it in the menu unde system information. It should say the 23rd 11th 07

    Hope that helps some people.

    hi papaq

i think you may be flashing as follows

    switch the box off
    start the execution...
    switch on the box ......

    i found that doesn't work...

just switch on the box so it's up and running..
    then start the flash execution..

btw... are you using the Keeper Transmitter or the Woodcock?

I'm flashing the boxes the way you recommend in your reply
Same way as I flashed box that is purring away in Navan!
Dont know what you mean about transmitters!!
Also I was given code for "hidden menu" by bollyboy but it doesn't seem to work.
Can anyone tell me why SW version on box is showing as 11 11 07 yet the binfile I loaded was 23 Nov one?
All this is quite urgent as I'm only in Limerick for a couple of hours

    hi m8..

mine was showing 11_11_07TX or something like that for a long time..

did a factory reset and stuff like that and reflashed while the box was running...

it finally changed to 23_11_07_TX ... something like that...

just keep plugging away at it...

in limerick two different types of downconverter are used....
one starts @222 and the other @214
with the 214 one you'll get get lock and sync on 218 and hit the network search

with the 222 one you'll get lock and sync on 234.... but ....
any channel 8mhz up for there will work for ya with the network search... anyways that's not your problem..

keep trying to flash and try the factory reset....

my one didn't take the sortware the first time....

p.s. wait until it pops up a message box saying download complelete or something.. that 100% progress bar in the loader sortware is slightly confusing.

Reflashed a couple of times and now got box to show 23 Nov software loaded. Rescanned for channels, found 102 but all still showing as "scrambled or bad channel"

Back in Dublin now and can report that the TX DOES work on Chorus MMDS in Limerick!
Now on to the next problem!!!
I have several boxes and all show software version TX_11_11_07
Boxes will only work if SW version is TX_23_11_07
While in Limerick I used a hurriedly-borrowed PC to reflash 2 boxes with the correct version. 3rd box wouldn't reflash. Back in Dublin I find that ALL the boxes won't reflash (loader says download complete etc but unless it goes into a "writing" phase nothing will actually have happened!)
A good indication seems to be that if the LED numerals on the front of the box are counting upwards while reflashing, and the loader says "writing" after downloading - all is well.
If the display simply shows "UAdL" while transferring data - nothing is really happening.
I don't imagine I'm alone with this problem and any assistance would be most welcome.
    Thanks all
    Peter
