    post your 12V rails here. all the positive one, not negative.

    use the 8800GT for 1680x1050 (with AA) or 1920x1200 (no AA) and below, and the 8800GTS for 1920(with AA)

    whats your screen res?

    12V Rails? How do I figure that out? I usually use my 720p HDTV that has 1080p input. I usually have the resolution at 1366x768.

    on the sticker that is on the psu, it should list the 12v rails.
    i.e.: 12v1 - 18 amps
    12v2 - 22 amps
    12v3 - 20 amps
    12v4 - 18 amps

    Okay I don't see these "12v Rails" you speak of. I looked and there's nothing written there like that.. This is really annoying.

    then it probably means that its a crappy power supply as most reputable brand psus have a sticker with this information. i would suggest getting a new power supply and then get a new graphics card. as the motto goes:
    CPU = $1200
    GPU = $900
    Hard Drives = $400
    Motherboard = $300
    Fans = $30
    DVD drive = $40
    Power Supply = $9
    Cheap power supply taking out all your hardware = priceless

    so get a new power supply preferably corsair or coolermaster or something similar(any good brand), and then buy/install the new GPU.

    Okay thank you. And ONE more thing. I want to get a memory upgrade also. I have Windows XP Home Edition 32bit. I've read that it can support up to 3Gb of memory but in my manual it says the max is 2Gb. I currently have two 512mb sticks in and I have a total of 4 slots. I'm pretty sure my machine requires me to install them in pairs too.

    does you computer take ddr or ddr2?
    download CPU-Z and check what type of memory your computer takes
    either way:
    Slot 1: 512 meg stick
    Solt 2: 512 meg stick
    Slot 3: 1 gig stick
    Slot 4: 1 gig stick
    -hope this helps

    just noticed that you posted that your computer takes 2 gigs max
    so then:
    Slot 1: 1 gig stick
    Slot 2: 1 gig stick
    Slot 3: empty
    Slot 4: empty

    Okay thanks. It's just weird to me that in the manual it says 32bit operating systems only use 2Gb of it but I know they are supposed to use 3GB. My PC is capable of 8GB if I had a 64 bit OS but I don't. Thanks for the help.

    UPDATE: My memory type is DDR2.
