   I replaced the 30001 series with a new sony laser. The darn thing still won't read games. I read here that the cog might need adjusting. What and where is the cog? Thanks.

   the cog is the little white gear under the left side of the tray. try posting in the PS2 forum, this is the user submitted guides section.
