I find that most of the people here know what they are talking about that is why I come here to ask questions! Every answer to every question can be found in a manual or book... I choose to ask questions here because manuals dont tell you everything! I am learning the hard stuff the hard way! Thanks again!

I have the same SLI Gigabyte board and the same problem, I went in and pulled the sata drivers for XP off the install disc ,i chose the the file NVSATAXP from the 'bootdrvr" folder and put it on a floppy and while installing XP F6'd the driver in showing 'mass storage ' and I'm getting the same looping problem as described above ,i was able to format my 250 gb. Western Digital sata hd. but it won't be seen in the MB bios and furthermore after copy the XP install files the OS says that windows doesn't see any hard drives in the system, i've spent a few hours trying to get up and running with no luck, any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated!

BKlyn1028 , which driver did you F6 in while installing the OS? please be very specific , where did you find it in the install disc and what was the exact name of the file? Maybe I need to use a different driver, there were several different ones to choose from. any info would help! thanks

you have to download the drivers directly from Western Digital! Copy them to a 3.5 floppy!

when u put the windows cd in and boot from it! Hit F6 to install 3rd party scsi drivers! When it gets to the screen that says it cannot find any scsi drives! put the floppy in and hit the corressponding letter to your choice!

swaggy is right....your mother board should have a utilities disk with it, you have to put in the cd, have a clean floppy in your floppy drive....do an explore on your mobo cd, go to drivers, and your what your chipset it, eg...mine is a gigabyte, when i explored the cd, the choices were....nvidia xp, a few others, and nvidia 2k (2000)
i hit #6 which was nvidiaxp, and it automatically downloaded the drivers to the floppy
that is what you use after you hit F6 and it askes for drivers
