Just started using a MAC G5 with superdrive. I've downloaded MTR 2.6.6 and DVD2oneX. Here is my problem, when I use MTR to rip the DVD to the harddrive, it completes, but reports the there were bad sectors, and the folder may not play back properly. I ignore those warnings, but when I try to use DVD2oneX to copy the movie only, the program starts and processes for only a minute or two, no progess bar or times. It produces the output folders but only lists a few files. I've follwed the guides but can't figure what's wrong.

What region is your DVD-player/burner in your G5? What region DVDs gave you these "bad sectors"?

If you use "search", thereĀ“s a thread about these "bad sectors", and in my set-up, the problem was the region code of my DVD-player (e.g. R2-driver gave "bad sectors" with R1-DVDs, but not with R2/R0).

You are probably trying to copy an arcoos disc. Go to www.ripdifferent.com and read about it.

Also search for ripping the movie "forgotten"
