    @JaguarGod,

    I tried using VobBlanker, but I keep getting an error that says:

    "Input Error: Reached end of VOB too early."

    Any thoughts on what to do about that?

    THANKS FOR ALL YOR HELP.

    @JaguarGod,

    I joined this forum a little while agao as i had a DVD that was very unusual, since then i got tit right due to the time an pacience of JaguarGod, so i am very thankfull.

    However i have just recently aquired a SONY DVD and as a test i wanted to try out JaguarGods Guide...... What a dream it was to see everything working just like it was meant to, and it has taught me more about the ifo file setup.

    Only problem i had was DVDShrink, it only compressed it to 92% .... but i caryied on with it anyway and used DVD2One to recompress the now very nice protection free DVD.

    Great Guide and thanks again.

    @jman147,

    This is the error you get when you do not replace the original rip with the new one created by IFOEdit. Go to the New folder that IFOEdit saved to and drag and drop the files into the VIDEO_TS folder. You will get a message about overwriting the files. Click OK.

    After you do this, it would also be a good idea to use the "Get VTS Sectors" function in IFOEdit. I do it after every step to make sure that everything is correct in the sector addresses.

    @ JaguarGod

    I think you should try to use FixVTS ver 1.11 - it should fix your problem with the soundtrack size and also the non shrinking problem in DVD Shrink. Seems that the latest ARccOS version introduced this problem.

    @ JaguarGod

    This 'fix' is only needed for certain ARccOS discs.

    Thanks Cynthia.

    I figured out why the fix is needed and I updated the guide (added a new section) based on your information.

    I think that IFOEdit may also be able to fix this problem by checking the "Strip VobID's" option in the "Strip Streams" step, but I have not tested that one yet.

    Hi JaguarGod
    Very good job for the guide. I'm using Anydvd and have no problems making backup any kind of movies lately. Thanks to Slysoft guys for making this little excellent program well worth for the money I paid.

    Hi
    I have seen some member's reply here in other thread giving serial and reg key for Anydvd but they were edited by the moderator right away. This excellent program is well worth the money since it can crack any movies or almost any movies with ease. Please support the guys from Slysoft for paying this excellent program for their hard work. They always update Anydvd everytime there's a new protection. If you buy this program you get lifetime update and the price is very fair for a excellent program.

    Let's support Slysoft for Anydvd.
    Thanks

    Like a couple of others on here, I had a problem with Stealth being to big after following all the steps outlined. I even deleted everything and started all over again but still the file was too big. I was doing the widescreen version, I don't know if that's why, I couldn't get it small enough. I finally found a quick fix! I used a free program called MenuShrink. It's by the same person that made FixVTS and likewise it is a very easy-to-use drag and drop format. You can get it at http://jean.laroche.free.fr/MenuShrink/

    I also had problems with DVD Decrypter "hanging up" at the same place over and over again while doing the part in IFO mode- It would get stuck at 75%, I noted that it was "hanging up" at cell 45 which is in chapter 23- once I "unchecked" that cell, everything went smoothly and decrypted. Again, I don't know if it had something to do with it being "widescreen" format or not. But those are the tweaks I had to make to get it to work and anyone else having those issues may want to try that.

    @Baller8,

    You do not need DVD Decrypter 3.1.0.0. This is a very old version and I only used it to show that this guide will work for any new release. Here is the link to a site that has the latest Decrypter (3.5.4.0):

    http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/

    Make sure you are trying to rip in [bold]IFO Mode[/bold]!!!. This is the only way you can select which cells to rip or not. After you rip the movie, then you can rip the rest in File Mode. Send me a PM with your e-mail address and I can send you the PDF of the guide. This has some highlighting, arrows, and squares on the pics so it is easier to see what is going on.

    @jbrio,

    If it is hanging anywhere other than chapter 1, then you have a bad or dirty disc. If you uncheck cell 45 (Chapter 23), you will lose some of the movie!!!

    Also, I updated the guide so that the compression problem with DVD Shrink is corrected. It uses FixVTS. I wonder if MenuShrink also does the same thing?? It is possible since it is by the same author.

    Thank you for letting me know about the problem being a bad or dirty disc (cell 45), I cleaned it, but there are some scratches on it so maybe that is the problem- I'm not used to all these new programs I always got by with DVD shrink, Dvd decrypter and Nero :).

    I tried the FixVTS but still had problems- I did the drag and drop, remove unref and blank cells the first time, then like I said I started the whole process completely over from the beginning of your guide and the second time I used FixVTS I clicked both the remove and in place(no backup)thinking maybe I might have lost track of which files were which but it still was too big when I went into DVD Shrink. I'd like to try it again from start to finish to get the results you got.

    Did you just use all the default settings in IFO mode in DVDD? I got a lot of the yellow error or warning boxes saying: Inserting dummy sectors, Possible RCE protection found, Possible structure protection found, 48 areas have been marked as 'suspect', Media region code 1, 3, and User selected region 1 for the disc's region code I didn't see any of that on your log, so I'm not sure what went wrong. Can you tell what the problem is (other than the fact that I'm using Windows XP) :-(

    I can't say that MenuShrink is a better alternative than FixVTS but I found the program on the fly today after troubleshooting for the past two days to no avail. All it does is basically removes the "motion" features on the Menu and, if you want to, it allows you to remove the audio from it (I didn't do that part).

    Any ideas on what the issues could be?

    JaguarGod- also, something else I noticed in DVDD the second time I tried is that where all the cells are listed there is now an * by them. It shows the check boxes, then Cell 1[*] and all of the "cells" listed have that asterick next to them which wasn't there before- is it something in the settings that I need to change or inadvertantly changed?

    Sorry Baller8, the version you wanted was 3.1.0 the version I mentioned was 3.1.8 but JaquarGod already said you don't need it anyway, it was just used to show that the older version would work on the newer encryptions.

    JaguarGod- is there anyway to "force" DVDD so that it won't hang up on that spot? Or to repair it? Another program to fix it in? Anything????

    In the information panel it is VTS/PGC: 1/1 - [02:00:54.03 / 30 fps]
    Cell: 45 -[00:04:42.03 / 30 fps]

    @jbrio,

    The "*" next to the cells means that DVDD know that those are not to be ripped and it will instead make a blank cell. I was confused when you said it will be inserting 48 Dummy Sectors. I do not even think the PSL will make it insert that many. I do not know what you did, but it seems like Decrypter may be removing the protection by itself.

    And yes, I used all the default settings even in the new version. The only thing it should detect is the extra VTS. The reason you did not see any of the warnings on my log is because the old version of Decrypter does not have support for RCE protection or Structure protection. You can set the new one not to also, but there is no reason to do that.

    Now, which final results do you want to get? The one where it is 3.57GB???? I got that by using IFOEdit & VobBlanker. I got rid of every audio stream except for the Dolby 5.1 i IFOEdit. Then I blanked out every Preview and special feature in VobBlanker. If you decide, you can leave in the DTS and the movie will only compress about 95%, which is what I did for my copy.

    As for forcing DVD Decrypter to skip the errors, the only way it to set it up to ignore Read errors. I do not have access to the program to take screen shots, but I think it is in the General Tab. What this will do is get the errors, but rather than retry 25 times, it will just go to the next one. Decrypter will still hang, but it will eventually get past the scratched area and hopefully playback will not be affected. Also, your burner will have a better reader than your DVD-ROM. You can try it once and see if this works.

    Before doing this though, try using something like car wax (the spray type) to slightly remove the scratch. Or even better, if you have a GameCrazy by your house, then go there and tell them to fix your disc. They will run it in a buffer that can even fix a disc that was massacred by a knife!!! It costs $2 or 5 times for $5. I would just get the $5 card for 5 times.

    Here is my situation first of all. My son is a huge Spongebob fan. I already own all 3 seasons on DVD but he's only 4 so he doesn't have access to them. I am giving him an Xbox for Christmas so I want to burn the seasons to back-up DVD's so he doesn't damage the originals. I successfully burned seasons 1 and 2. Season 3 is giving me trouble. When I start DVD Decryptor, I first see a Region Code conflict. Don't remember the exact error. It automatically forces me to use Region 1 which is fine. About 30 minutes later it says successfully completed. I close Decryptor and open DVD Shrink 3.2 It analyzes fine and then I choose back up (I had to remove alt languages cause file was too large)It seems to encode fine after I press BACK-UP. It asks for the DVD media when ready to burn. It seems to burn fine. After the burn is done and tray ejects, I test it in my DVD player (Which plays burned DVD's) and it says DISC IS DIRTY. I have seen this before due to various protections, but have always overcome the errors through Decrytor software. I have made 3 coasters and have had no success yet. I already duped 40 Year Old Virgin earlier so I have a feeling this is related to that Region Code conflict at the beginning of the Decrytor ststus list. Anyone that can help would be very appreciated, especially if you have successfully burned this Season 3 yourselves. I am a N00B at Afterdawn so I apologize if there is an easy fix. I want to do these 3 dvd's as a Christmas present for him when he opens the XBOX. And yes I already have the XBOX DVD kit which plays burns.
