I'm about to purchase DVD burner for first time to backup my PS2 & Xbox games. A have a number of questions (maybe silly one's) but we all started somewhere.

    1. What type burner do I need DVD + or - media, or both?
    2. What media should I use to backup my games? (most of them are DVDs)
    3. What's the mest media for these consoles?
    4. Which backup prog do you recommend?
    5. Will there be a problem backing up my DVD with the copyright protection?

I'd really appreciate your help as there seems to be so much info around its all confusing.....

    Thanks

    1. Pioneer 105/106 are great burners for the money.
2,3,4 Try the PS2 and Xbox forums for more precise recommendations.
    5. For DVD movies DVD Shrink and Nero are hard to beat. Guides are available on this site.

Keep searching. Lots of good stuff buried around here. Just takes time. Good luck.

pluey, I paid about $100. for my Hp burner drive with out doing enough research. I had good luck with my old Hp CDR drive. Had I researched more, I would have paid another $50. and got a dual format drive. Thats probably the best way to go. I may still upgrade and sell this Hp I have. Haven't copied games at all but like stated above, lots of good guides and forum links for games here. Jerry
