Ok heres my problem I have a philips dvd recorder 615r and im archiving my old nfl games from 2000 foward....When i play them in my straight vcr(not hooked up to anything) it plays fine...when its hooked up to the dvd recorder the picture changes fromlight to dark constantly....to me this is video copyright protection. These are my own taped football games ..is it possible they send a signal when i recorded them to copy protect them? Can anyone help me?

Did you take the tabs off the tape so you wouldn't record over them?
