I bought this computer on Craigslist. With my hardware and it's hardware I built a Kick ask computer. Here's the problem: Previous owner with family all smoked. When the computer is running it stinks like hell. No doubt it's a nic unit. Here's the question which I will post on multiple sites on the Internet: How does one rid the machine of the odor? I am working with an idea right now however i dont want to influence any ideas. I will be returning and posting a conclusion on what had worked.
i'd strip the tower down to wipe the case & drives down. clean & wipe the cpu fan & any other fans. open up the psu to clean the inside of it & to wipe down the fan(s)
@Zero: and yes, you are. Maybe you should have bought the computer from the no smoking section. ROFLMAO! Although I haven't smoked in over 3 months now, I would bet you are one of those folks who bitch about people smoking outside, in your space. To get rid of the smoke odor, fire that mother up, and squirt water on the CPU.
