Im baffled now jer1 are you sure the coax cable is connected into your cable input and scart into the tv on box (bottom 1)im not 100% but i have v400 firmware on mine but i dont think its a firmware issue, maybe 1 of the other lads and lassies will be around soon and spot something ive missed.
OK thanks for your patience & help. It is a strange one alright because everything you have asked me to do was done already. I might try it out from the main connection in the house to see if that solves it. Thanks again.
kNew i forgot something you never mentioned it was a split connection you might need a decent booster
Indeed a splitter would cause this problem and I bet it works off the main incoming feed and you should update to v4.00 firmware You will need a null modem cable DB9F to DB9F. Null modem info http://www.maplin.co.uk/Search.aspx?criteria=L71BT&DOY=2m6 If your pc does not have a serial port you will need a USB to serial port adapter to use in conjunction with the null modem cable. USB Adapter info http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx...t10&doy=search&MenuName=USB to Serial Adaptor These two cable links are only for reference as they can be purchased alot cheaper on fleabay. All firmware/loader can be found in the link at the end of my post marked Eamos Library. You will need the GTromloader, (Starvi*w Software Uploader), found in the Starview software folder of the link. You will need version 4.00 firmware for GENUINES found in "Starvi*w" firmware folder. And please download the Starvi*w PDF guide,(this will give you step by step instructions on how to do everything. This can be found in the Starvi*w Documentation folder in the link.
