No audio

A wehile back I created an AVI outta a DVD I had which all works fine, but as soon as I put the .avi into Sony Vegas there is no sound to video, what do I do?

The DVD players don't read AVIs.

 

Try convert the avi to dvd compliant format with e.g. VSO DivxToDVD, then burn with e.g. Nero:

The .avi works fine in any media player, it's just there is no sound when it's loaded into Sony Vegas.

 

Open the AVI with VirtualDubMod and do Stream__Stream List, which kind of audio has, that AVI? I suppose AC3.
