    sherrilyn,

Why did you not follow alkohol suggestion, and use Recode2, at least, I believe that is what he mentioned? I personally have no experience with Vison Express.

I am sorry, but I cannot help you with VisonExpress, and I could not find anything definitive in your log.

    Really sorry,

    Rich

In the massage from Alkohol I thought that he was saying to use Nero Vision First to make the ISO files and then use recode to make the file small enough to fit onto the regular DVD. Is that not right?

Your are correct, but then he mentioned Recode, but prior to that I pointed you to a Alkohol link that dealt with the problem at hand, or so I thought.

Forgive me if I misled you, I am truly sorry,

    No Problem :)

Do you know of another program that can be used to convert the AVI file into a ISO file that I can then use in Recode? Also do you know of a program that I can use to edit the video to cut out parts? Thanks for all of your help. It is greatly appreciated

I personally use VobBlanker, and it is free. This program can cut out all ads, warnings, trailers, many capabilities with this program.

    Download here, http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/vobblanker.htm
    Download guides here, http://jsoto.posunplugged.com/guides.htm
Here's another quick guide on the use of VobBlanker by member "travalon", http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/244091

Here's another program and guide that can convert AVI to DVD format, DivXtoDVD download here, http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/video_encoders/vso_divxtodvd.cfm My understanding is the trial version will put a logo on the movie, but you can see if it does what you want to your satisfaction, and if so, you can then purchase it. So don't burn it to your burner, unless you want the logo.

The latest firmware update is G114, and you can obtain it from here, http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_search.php

    Best of luck,

    Rich

Whew,, those vision logs are a pain to read, but at the end i saw something.
You have Roxio installed on your computer, and it conflicts with Nero. Use the zapper program to remove it.

i didnt check the rest of the log.. But Roxio is a biggie conflict..
