I have had my softmodded box running evox for around 2 years with an upgraded HDD. I recently tried reverting to a backup as I could no longer get to the m$ dash. Upon execution my xbox froze and when I rebooted it went straight to error 13. I can still run originals, although when I try using Halo2 it reloads the game when I try to update my m$ dash. I was thinking of just slayers_evox disc to open ftp and manually reload my backup just wondering if there is a chance loading this disc on a softmodded xbox with an upgraded HDD could brick my console. I saw in the soft mod tutorial it requires the most recent m$ dash and I obviously don't have it, would this be a better option.
I couldn't get the slayer's disk to load so I am thinking I will try opening ftp with splinter cell hack and then ftp my back that I have on disk. Is this what people would suggest?
