I actually was mistaken about my success on the AVI to DVD in my previous post, I jumped the gun.

One issue I'm having is that when using TMPGEnc all I end up with is with the .m2v and .mp2 files (no IFO files). This is when converting a DiVX AVI to DVD (PAL).

I'm not quite sure what I'm doing wrong here, any help?

Its working as its supposed to ;)
The m2v is a mpeg2 video file and the mp2 is the audio (i.e. audio and video are split up into different files).
To create a DVD (with a menu) you need a authoring program, such as Tmpgenc DVD author. In the authoring program do you import the two files and then you burn the DVD.
You could also use a program like Nero vision or Sonic MyDVD to import the files and the burn a DVD.

    Nist,

Thank you for the reply. I guess this was a bad year to quit drinking coffee! Another RTFM (DivX to DVD-R guide) user error.

    Thank you!
