    Help.....

Authored a DVD using Ulead Video Studio 6. However when played on my HiFi Pioneer DVD 717 , there is picture but NO sound. The DVD Menu and chapters works normally. When played on my computer, everything works beautifully.

Authored the same mpeg file which I captured on my tv card and using Womble mpeg-vcr 3.14 to create the movie segments without the commercial. Used Womble to correct the GOP faults and enable audio/video sync and then authored the DVD using TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.5 . Ended up with the same problem again. NO sound when played on the HiFi Pioneer 717 but plays normally on Power DVD on my computer.

Does this mean my Pioneer player is lacking a software to play the sound file on the disc??? When making an exact copy on non-copyright DVD using CloneDVD I do not have this problem.

    Is it a codec problem?

I thank you in advance for any assistance offered.

    Video: MPEG-2. 720576 25fps (4:3) PAL
    Sound: MPEG-1 Audio Layer-2 48000Hz stereo 224kbps(Monolingual)
