Thank you for the comprehensive guides which I have tried to research and read thoroughly prior to asking this question.

Trying to convert DivX to DVD-Video and getting no sound.

    1. Used AVIcodec and determined the audio of the AVI file was MPEG layer 3.

    2. Used TMPGEnc to encode the AVI file to MPEG-2 format, successfully creating an m2v and an mp2 file.

    3. Used IFO Edit to successfully audit the DVD files, then used Media Player Classic to play to DVD files, but getting to no sound.

    4. Since I didn't know better, I also used Nero to burn a DVD disk and played on a stand-alone player. Video is fine, but no sound.

    5. Using AVI codec to look at the mp2 file created by TMPGEnc, the file size is 315 megs with a duration of 0:00. Tried to play this file separately with media player; the time elapses but with no sound.

Have I overlooked something? Thank you in advance.
