hi, i have converted an avi file to dvd using nero, when i try to play it with a dvd player i have no sound. i have used gspot to check i have the right codec installed and it tells me i have 3 compatable codecs - --> {LAME MP3 Codec v0.9.0 - 3.96 (stable)} --> {Fraunhofer IIS MPEG Layer-3 Codec (professional)} --> {MPEG Layer-3 Decoder} i am no expert on codecs, i just know i need them to convert to dvd, and i have no idea how nero or similar program selects which codec to use. the file i am trying to convert is, well how can i say, the one that must be doing the most business on the net since thursday which is part of a 2 part trilogy. i think i got the torrent from mininova and part of the file name is re-encode by t-boy. anyone offer any suggestions ?? thanks in advance for your help..
First, check to see if you have sound with the original avis. If so, then you're probably missing some codecs. Download K-lite Codec Pack (full version) and try again: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm Good luck!
