I have a Nokia 6010 which was bought in the U.S. as a T-Mobile prepaid phone. I have since moved to Australia and want to use the phone here. I unlocked the phone then removed the restrictions using the mastercode. I restored the default factory settings, which seemingly did nothign much at all apart from restoring the T-Mobile background image.

Apart from unlocking and un-restricting the phone and restoring the factory settings, as I've already done, what else do I need to do to be able to use the phone here in Australia?

I've tried using an Australian SIM card but I can't get any connection/reception/etc.

The phone still has traces of T-Mobile bits and pieces in the software, such as "t-zones" in the Connectivity menu.

I want to use the phone with either Virgin Mobile (prepaid) or Optus (postpaid).

Thanks in advance for any help.
