Unforutnatelly it didn’t work. I checked the IMEI under the battery and it’s the same. I took out the sim, turned it on, put the code in, doublechecked before finishing and I got the CODE ERROR message. Any idea? Thanks Tamas
Read- http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/405992 Salmals code is OK,are you sure this phone locked to -O2-Ireland? Write product code(under battery,7 bars).
Code: 0528773 O2 Ireland when it says insert sim do I need to press # and then #pw+094933613261144+7# or insert sim and #pw+094933613261144+7# (I did this way). Is there any point to try it again with the same code? Tamas
Remove sim first, power on the phone. After the phone boots up, press # Press * 3 times fast for (p) Press * 4 times fast for (w) Press * 2 times fast for (+) Verify code before pressing the last #. "Code error", don't try again!! "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked! 1.# 2.p 3.w 4.+ then 094933613261144 then + then 7 then last #
Read once more- http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/405992 Once more-are you sure this phone locked to -O2-Ireland? And try other sim,its possible, already unlocked.
I bought this phone myself a year ago and I took the backcover off once when I put a bigger memorycard in it. Unless I bought a sim-free phone from O2-Ireland (very unlikely) I don't know why it's not working. I don't have any other sim with me at the moment so ASAP I get home I'll try. My girlfriend has got the same phone from (also locked to O2-Ireland) so I might try to give her IMEI. Thanks, Tamas
The moment of the truth: I came home and I put a hungarian sim into it and it worked. First I thought that I got the code error and the same time it worked too. Friend of mine bought the same phone from O2 Ireland a week ago and I told him what happenned and half an hour later got a call saying that his phone is not locked to O2 either. My girlfriend came home and it's the same with her phone too so it looks like that we all got sim free phones which sounds a bit weird but it seems to be true. Thanks again for your help. Tamas
