    Hell of'va name!!
You will need a non Non Vodafone SIM with no PIN code.

[bold]Please read ALL of the instructions below before you start.See: "Note:If nothing happens."

    below.[/bold]

Did you check with IMEI: *#06# , Firmware Version: *#0000# .

    Nokia:6230i
    IMEI:357098003734186
    Network:Vodafone
    Country:Ireland

    [bold] Is this correct? [/bold]

If you know the risks, try this [bold] ONCE and ONLY ONCE [/bold] and let us know if it works. You

have only 3 to 5 tries and then it will be hard locked. After that you will need a cable

thing-a-me-jiggy to unlock it. It will still work on your Network so no big loss.

    #pw+927842241530655+7#

Remove sim first, power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
    Press * 3 times fast for (p) \
Press * 4 times fast for (w) IMPORTANT
    Press * 2 times fast for (+) /
and the rest of the code---

    [bold] IMPORTANT!! [/bold]
Verify code before pressing the last #.
Pay attention. You only heve about two seconds.

[bold]Note:If nothing happens. [/bold] Some Phones require that you to insert a non accepted sim.

[bold] Before you do this, make sure the sim and phone you use does NOT have a Security or PIN CODE.

If it does, reset the security code to default (12345) with the original phone. [/bold] Insert a

non accepted SIM and turn it on. You will see "phone restricted", select the UNDO option, then enter

the "#pw+code" code in the restriction box and press ENTER.

    "Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked.
"Error code" wrong code. [bold] STOP [/bold] tell me.
"Not allowed" or "Can Not Undo Restriction" it's hard locked. Used up all your free tries!!

[bold] DO let us know if this works. [/bold]
Help us provide a better service.

Please do not try again until we know what happened.
Did you put in a non vodafone sim first?
    Did you see UNDO?

That is the only code I have.
Confirm the phone is locked to Vodafone.

You put in a non Vodafone sim.
    You turmed it on.
You saw Phone restricted and an UNDO option.
You selected the UNDO option and entered the WHOLE code I gave you.

    #pw+927842241530655+7#

    You pressed the # key.
You pressed the * key three times quickly to get P .
You pressed the * key four times to get w.
Etc. etc and pressed the # key.

    Is there any other way?

What do you mean nothing happened?
What was the message on the phone after you entered the code a second time?
I have heard of ONE 6230 phone that took the code with no sim in when the cade was entered. That's the next step.
I do not have another code for you.

    This code is good.
Does the Vodafone sim work in the phone?
Have you tried a new sim in the phone?
What sim are you trying to use?
Is the new sim activated and working?

    Too harrdd!!

    Joe,

When I put the code in it now says cannot undo restriction.
I don't have a vodafone sim, the phone belonged to my friend and he gave it to me and I'm trying to put my O2 sim into it.
I also tried it with no sim in it and when I put in the code it only gives me an option to 'clear'.
You say 6230, this is a 6230i, should that make a difference?

    That's where your problem is.
You got the phone with no sim.
You cannot verify it works with a Vodafone sim.
You tried to unlock it and failed .
    You then came to us.
    The code is correct.
Someone has tried to inlock it and entered too many wrong codes.
    It is now hard-locked.
You will need to take it to a phone shop that has the equipment to unlock it.
Have a look at this. It is the first Thread on this Forum.

One solution for a hardlocked phone.

I have no financial affiliation with this Site. I am acquainted with it and the work they do there.

    There are many.
