nokia d box blank screen sporter 1.7 please help !!!!

im really wanna sort this box out but have no idea. can pick up bbc1 and such but no others. it did work untill a couple of months ago. im new to this so any help wopuld be appreciated. cheers nshaniz@hotmail.com

 

iv connected the box via ethernet cable to my pc. and downloaded flash fxp. how do i view the files . im really stuck. any help would be grateful

 

Be for we go FTPEEEEEING wot image is on the box at the moment we will try a rescan first If that dont work we will advance to the next stage dont worrie be back up n running in no time .......Paul

 

cheers for this mate. iv tried a rescan already but its still a blank screen. comes up sportster1.7 base image 2.0 if that is any help

Shniz wot box do you have nokia or sagem How many flash chips
FTP open program
top left sessionquick connect
This will give you a drop down box in which youenter box details
Server= ip of box
User name = root
pass = dbox or dbox2
Thats that set up it will now remember this
Next Go to start
Network connections Highlight the one you are useing to ftpand click properties in the drop down boxdouble click Internet protocol
Now insert the d the last 6 digits one below your d box ip
If the box = 192.168.1.100
you must make sure your net work card reads
=***.***.1.99
it will fill the rest in its self when you click ok
Back to ftp click connect you should now be able to connect if you get this far get back to me and ile post you wot you need ..........Paul

right iv entered the ip address but it wants the submask address. any ideas. doesnt display it on the network settings. oh the box is a noika by the way

 

Just click ok the rest will fill in automaticly

 

it doesnt work mate. iv put the dns server number number in off the box minus one. its 192.168.2.1 i put in 192.168.2.0

 

its worked and the ftp has connected . you are a genius !!!

 

so whats the next plan of action paul

get your remote control

FTP .img file to the /tmp folder on the box.

Using remote...

DBOX
SERVICE MENU
SOFTWARE UPDATE
EXPERT FUNCTIONS
WRITE ONE PARTITION
FLASH WITHOUT BOOTLOADER

Select the image from the list and select yes

The box will flash then reboot
And that should be you sorted Lets know

it came up black screen, couldnt decode the channels. iv tried a rescan but finds no channels with 30 seconds. any ideas ?

 

Should have left it as it was and put it on sky sports 1 for 2 mins.Ithink it would have came on
Now push blue button on re mote
Set my location
Scroll to were you are theres 2 for liverpool ok
Box will reboot and you should be ready to rescan
once finished put it on sky sports 1 for 1 min then bbc1 and then back to sky sports 1 Lets know Paul
