I have recently purchased a Nokia Dbox 1 for satellite. I have plugged it all in but its says there is no satellite signal present.

I am fairly new to this and cant seem to find any simple guides on here on how to get it going. Can anyone help me or have I been conned??

    cheers

Sky via satellite is not hacked. You can get only the FTA channels via a sat dbox.
    Do a channel scan.

    **Update**

been playing about with the settings and am now getting channel lists. The seller said the box is in debug mode (whatever that means). i guess i should have checked all this out before purchasing.

Is there no way to get any of the Sky channels then??

The scrambling system NDS from sky is simply not hacked. You can get only the none scrambled channels via astra 28°.

You need a FreeToView card for Channel4, Five, Five Life, Five US & Sky3,
if you don't own a valid sky card.
Such a card is not functional in a dbox1.
