If your dbox is plugged into a router make sure DHCP is on in the dbox network settings. if u still cant connect to it get your self a null modem cable for about a fiver from maplins and use the 'how to flash using only a null modem cable' guide from http://www.4shared.com/account/dir/4162681/bd142632/sharing.html

 

Whne u change ur keylist.txt files u need to CHMOD 755 them in an ftp program to stop them changing back to the public keys as far as i know

 

On mine, I found that a click on the red button to save the keys does NOT work, you have to actually move the highlight to the SAVE key then press OK.

To check if the connection to your box from PC is working, click start, run, cmd, then type ping IP address of dbox eg
ping 192.168.0.24
you should get a reply from the dbox if all is done right.

 

Is there any codes for VM in the Glasgow area yet?

Also if anyone does sell V+ boxes please get in touch as i will be very interested in purchasing one.

Also the easiest way to flash your dbox is to download flash assistant from hallenberg.com This worked for me even when FTP wouldnt.

Can someone please provide a link to to update the my dbox software? I'm currently using Sportster Pro 1.02 which was last updated in November 2005. Also what is the best software available? If there is already a thread for this please just provide a link.

Is there really any point in me going to maplin to buy a null cable?? is this really going to help or are we all flogging a dead horse?

 

My dbox has andromeda v2.0 image but almost eveyrthing is disabled on it except for rom 7 and 10. i cant seem to enable emus or roms and cant even save after changing the keylist.txt file( which is currenly blank) after modying it with remote. Any help much apprecated

no problems managed to get everything soughted. All you need to do if you have a simillar porblem is just save a copy of the image and reflash the copied image. I think it enables all the defaults settings and keys etc. You then do as mentioned earlier and update the keylist.txt file

Well no matter what i do to change the keylist and also i changed the softcams and reset EMU to newcam i am having no luck what so ever!!

Please can anyone help

 

Hi dovie can you just explain to me about changing the softcam please, have changed the codes and switched off auto update, it worked for about 5 minutes then went off, but havent done the softcam bit

The telewst one works for me. Bilal all you need to do is select tuxbox commander and search for var/keys/keyslist.txt file. Highlight this and press 4 and edit it with the relevant keys ultim81 has posted.

Ps dont edit/delete all of it, only the part after 00 or 01 needs changing.

As for changing emus experiment a bit to find which one works for you. I would start with evocam and 001A ucode and have rom 7 & 10 enabled only. Also rebooting into a free view channel or a sports channel might help.
