yes press red button two boxs saying english scroll to bottom english press ok this will turn it off on the remote

 

It's the green button you want, not the red one.

 

sean85 have you got the original settings saved on your pc, before we started having these problems??

I am new this is my first try

My d-box2 has lost the channels after being great for 2 years, I did a scan but VM as you all say have blocked it so if some one can help me I would need step by step details as I am not very good but will try my hand at anything.
I also have a d-box2 and the problem is that when i turn it on no image comes I don’t know how to connecting the box to the pc can someone please help me,

 

no i never connected to my pc before iv tryed all the codes on bigmaq but still nothing

 

hi turner123. i would really apprecaite your help as u seem like a guy who knows alot about these boxes.i really need help installing my eur***x 2008. even though i have had it for about 3-4 months now i have tried everything and nearly every post instructions to try and receive all the channels i should be receivein but havent had no luck .

i live in an ex c*w area. south east london. thamesmead to be more specific. my box ca module is: v1.7C. PLEASE help. I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING i have got my hands on. thanks a bunch.

 

Ok guess you tried a scan as soon as your box went down,i think thats what the majority of people did.This is were the problem lies any1 that did a scan when boxes went down will struggle to enter the new keys and get there box up and running again.
I scanned it, but fortunately had a back up of my image on me laptop i re flashed with this image entered codes and they are working.

 

so you saying i need to reflash could you give me a step by step on how to do this it would be much appreceated

 

you gonna need a nullmodem cable and ethernet crossover patch cable you can get from maplin.Then on bigmaq toolbar click cable files/set top box files/dboxes/dbox2 and download dbox2 complete files.Install dbox flashing assistent andyour ready to go.

Hi guys,just a word to say i have inputted this key: N 5401 01 C16CBE2409F2DDFA :Rom7 AU Key Time Thu April 10 15:42:55 2008.
Now my box is back up and running
Don't know how long for as its only been back up for 20 mins or so but i would like to thank all the people on here for their generous help.

 

Eee heck finally managed it in the end i was putting the wrong codes in cos i thought i was telewest when in fact im ex c&w!! Im from blackburn
and have a sportster 1.7 and it works fine with

N5C01 00 CB 8B D0 FC 2A B2 EC 63

N5C01 01 E4 51 5E 23 8C E6 0D E4

Just edit the lines which have the latest date. Also I turned my automatic updates off by following the instructions earlier on in the thread. I am a complete newbie so if I can do it anyone can. Thanks for all your help and i hope my little bit of info has helped(better late than never!!)

Also my friend has just got a dbox today and it worked!!! Apparently she said the guy she bought it off said that virgin were messin about and that his came on on its own this afternoon!! It could be hearsay though. Hope everyone gets their channels back!!!

yeah iv turned the automatic updates off and iv got the bigmaq toolbar no new codes. My dads has gone off as well.
