Yah when the box is on is the right channels there and just a black screen

 

hello all iv been posting since about page 68 on this forum and just seem to see all the same questions

its all to do with the key change every so often by vm i have heard that vm are sending out a 2 chip card to custumers coming weeks months ?? not sure as when ...

thats when it will go tits up big time for us dbox ers ???

but hey what do i know just what i heard ? take it as hear say

anyway if any1 whants there box out of kein system around preston surrounding areas pm

please note i cant do anything about the keys atm

Did you disable all the roms except Nagra rom 7 and set your cam to Evocam plus make sure u reboot the EMU & Cams before rebooting after rebooting add the codes in the keys section

 

Hi I believe my other box is in what you call kein system I dont know but I live in Edinburgh but I would be grateful if you could tell me what to do.

A quick one everyone.

A few of the threads have said DON'T RE-SCAN - what happens if you have done that, as that is what I did when the problem of the missing channels first came up (before I read on this site not to)?

After changing the codes, nothing is working so could that be due to the re-scan and if so, does anyone have any advice?

HELLO...HERES SOME HELPFULL INFORMATION...

THE SAME QUESTIONS SEEM TO BE GETTIN ANSWERED EVERY SINGLE DAY ,EVERY 20 MINUTES,NON STOP...DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND QUICKLY SCAN FROM ROUGHLY APRIL 9TH ONWARDS ON THIS FORUM,AND FOLLOW THE HELPFULL POSTS ON HERE.

I HAVE FIXED 4 NOKIA DBOX2 SYSTEMS WITH 4 DIFFERENT IMAGES,AND ALSO A EUROVOX BOX AS WELL,ALL ON VURGINIA MEDIA USING THE EXACT INSTRUCTIONS THAT WERE GIVEN ON HERE THE FIRST DAY THAT VURGINIA MEDIA DECIDED TO ROLL THE KEYS.I AM NO EXPERT,ALL I DONE WAS SPEND MORE THAN THE USUAL 3 MINUTES READING UP ABOUT CERTAIN BOXES ON VARIOUS DOCUMENTS,AND I NOW UNDERSTAND WHAT IM ACTUALLY DOING WHEN I "FIX" THE BOXES.

THE ANSWERS ARE ALL HERE IN CERTAIN PAGES,95% OF BOXES WILL WORK WITH THE EXACT INSTRUCTIONS GIVEN FOR CERTAIN BOXES ON THIS FORUM,AND FOR THAT WE ARE ALL GREATFULL THESE GUYS HAVE SHARED THEIR KNOWLEDGE.IF YOUR BOX DOSENT WORK,THEEN ITS JUST PURE BAD LUCK,SOMETIMES REFLASHING,UNPLUGGING,ETC WILL BRING DIFFERENT RESULTS,BUT UNLESS SOMEONE WITH A HALF A BRAIN ABOUT THESE THINGS IS PHYSICALLY THERE,THEN WE CAN ONLY GO ON WHAT WAS POSTED.

JUST UNPLUG IT AND IT SHOULD LOAD BACK IN THE KEYS THAT WE NEED TO CHANGE,THEY SHOULD BE THERE AGAIN...UNLESS YOU HAVE FUC**ED THE SCAN AND YOU HAVE NO EPG,NO CHANNELS SCANNED,AND THE BOX WILL THEN REQUIRE SOME TLC.

Ok, thats great. I had already un-plugged and started up again and I have deleted all of the extra channels that appeared after the re-scan. All of the original channels were still in the bouquets - the re-scan just added them all over again but as individual bouquets. I just wanted to check if that might the reason why nothing is working despite me changing the codes. Thanks for the clarification.

 

yeah you are right bryandir wat ur saying it is all shown here and have followed it but i read diff things wen reading it, first dont use capitals then use capitals on keys , then if you have scanned ur dbox (which most of us did )u might have difficulty but some still managed 2get it working i just wish i knew wat i was doing wrong...can you give me the details wat u did please ....am in south of wales dbox2 sportsterpro...or if u living near me pop in and fix for me lol

1 i used cute ftp file transfer to dbox from comp

2 copyed keylist to comp

3 big maq keys

4 opened the keylist file in note book

5 enter the keys in exit note book (save changes when promted)

6 open ftp

7 open keys on dbox

8 drag newly edited keylist to keys in dbox

9 drop in copy over existing file

10 unplug dbox plug back in ... should be all fixed ...

all fixed

if you dont know how to ftp to dbox from the comp then read up on it as many of us have done but were ere to help as much as poss

 

Hey people you no longer need to update your codes,there is a permanet fix available.

You have to post 6 times in there and wait to download it if anyone whats the new fixed files its in my oggnogg link below
After unraring the file, it needs to go into your images keys directory of course, this might be var/keys in most images, and you will need to ftp into the box to do it.

I am running commando 9.25 , and am running EVOCAM ,and situated in the Woodford essex area , i have reloaded my box and can now see 2 keylist.txt files , one if which has the following..

N 5C01 00 F1484E645AE1A270 ;ROM10 AU Key Time Sat Apr 12 23:13:57 2008

the other file has the following..

N 5C01 01 F273A90F3609690A ;ROM10 AU Key Time Sat Apr 12 06:01:13 2008
N 5C01 01 F273A90F2609690A ;ROM10 AU Key Time Fri Apr 11 14:05:42 2008


Now by looking at bigmaq keylist for ex-cw the keys look ok , but i am still not getting any of the encrypted channels.

Any advice would be highly appreciated

I have some info that might help some people.

I have posted a few threads advising that I have had issues working out how to turn off the auto-updates. Some of you have said this doesn't need to be done and others have said it does.

I have possibly found out that the reason why I seem to be having more difficulties that others is that I am running Sportster 1.73, whereas I have been told that many others are running Sportster 1.70. On the later software, finding the option to turn off the auto-updates is easy - you just press the blue button twice and so on but on 1.73, there is no menu option for this. I know someone who has called me tonight to confirm that he has fixed someone elses box in no time at all but they used 1.70 and my menu system is completely different.

If I find out any more tomorrow, I will post the information.
