did you unzip it first it should be .img not .zip or .rar

if it's not .img look here:

    http://www.4shared.com/dir/4162681/bd142632/sharing.html

find an image you want but also do the nagrarom7 update or you'll have to enter codes manually everytime (annoying)

So I am completely and utterly a NEWBIE to this thing but I am sure this is the best place to get help on my Nokia Dbox 2.

I have never updated a Dbox or done anything to any other box of its kind nor do I know how to do it.

I bought my box and it came with everything on it but as of late, it has only been giving me basically, the channels you get with Freeview.

I am in the Bradford/Keighley area so maybe the person who posted the Bradford information could help me out on sorting out my problem.

Can someone tell me step-by-step and what I need in making these steps, please?

All I have is the Dbox and a computer. I'm sure I need some kind of cable to connect up the Dbox to my computer so letting me know what wire I need would also help. I know, I sound ridiculous and everyone is groaning at my post.

Here is the information my box gives me on startup.
    Baseimage Version: 2.8
    Production Date: 19/06/2005
    UK Translation: Cryogenic
    UK Cable Coding: Cydine
    Provider a version: Sportster 1.7+ uk85

I hope that someone can help me out with my problem.

    Thank you in advance.

    use this

    http://www.4shared.com/file/26319423/1ac53f42/dbox_ifa.html

its much easier. have your box connected. plug it out. get the image ready to flash. press next and it will say waiting for dbox start. plug it in. when its finished. plug it out and back in and its ready.
