default gateway and dns server should be 192.168.000.003 also

then restart network above ip and then try to connect

    is all above board?all correct?

the only other thing is that my network connection is set to 10 half mode and is displaying the yello triangle with "limited or no connectivity" on the bottom right hand corner of my pc...is that normal?

probably not right click and repair.

    dns server: 192.168.000.003

    and default gateway: 192.168.000.003

then restart network dbox on and connect

hi people ive looked on maplin site for a null modem cable now i know that this looks like it connects to the rs232 on the back of the dbox but where do i connect it on my pc? the only connection on the motherboard outputs that looks like the rs232 is the one that my monitor used to use before i put a graphics card in is this the right connection to use?
please stop watching your working again boxes (yes i admit im jealous LOL !!) & please reply so that i can get my box up & running again
    thanks in advance

I got my box working ok using just a crossover (ie. ethernet) cable and FTP, no null cable reqired. If you have an image you should be able to work it out by looking back at threads and at tutorials for FTPing. If you need to flash the whole thing you can do it this way.

if you are going to use a null you need it a usb to rs232 convertor n then prob a genger changer female to female so it can go into the dbox (dbox is male) then in to ur usb ,thats only if you dont have a null socket on your pc

    i got mine from cpc
