Nokia Dbox2

oh dear .. think i need my six year old son. can any one help i have been trying to get the problems solved and pressed some button and now all it reads on the box is loading kernel.. can any one help please pritty please and my son says please too

 

Hi everybody, can you help? I think I am almost there, I have done a scan and get 233 TV chanels, 43 Radio and 33 Data. I have the chanels shown on the EPG and can watch some of the "chanels Free To Air", but can not watch any of the other chanels, when I try it says something like "Waiting to Decode" and after a few seconds the screen goes blank, can anybody help??? thanks in advance.

I am looking for a Services.xml file to the Dublin area. For some reason my dBox2 does not pick up any channels even after an number of Service Scans. I would appreicate your help on this!!

 

hi billie22 sorry mate been out for a while hence no reply! all the info i got from oggnogg will be visible on this thread so that other people can use it ive only ever put the fixed files on my box mate never flashed from scratch so dont know about flashing but i did have all cables connected obviously you would need the tv connected to the box so that you can access the menus to get ip address etc as far as the cable connection i couldnt really say i was only able to have everything connected on mine cos i have a 5m crossover cable im guessing that you wont need to have your cable feed plugged in cos your not downloading anything from that your downloading from pc but as i said im guessing ,alternativley you could go for a longer x-over cable i know that you can get a 10m cable & maybe even 15/20m which would surely reach unless you live in a mansion LOL!!!!! just thinking about flashing ive got a dummies guide to flashing the box on my pc cant remember where i got it from though may even have been earlier in this thread? or maybe you could google it & get it that way its in pdf so youll need acrobat to view it sorry cant give you a firmer answer regarding the cable input but hope the info ive given you helps

Hello people

My Dbox has wiped out again, like everyone elses. However the new key on bigmaq does not correspond with the keys shown on the box, it was my understanding that you should only need to change 1 character, as it was the first time. The complete line is different as it shows no key changes since the last ones on Friday 11th april. I am in a cable & wireless area. Can anyone help or have the same problem?

hi mate you need to open the folder TUXBOX then open CONFIG you will then see a folder ZAPIT drop them in there mate & overwrite when prompted,switch your box off at wall wait 30 secs or so & switch back on & you should be sorted this is how i did mine

 

Then do i do a scan and get the channels?

 

i didnt just powered off then on again then everything came back all channels in proper order i added the fixes at the same time though have you already done those?

 

yes yes yes yes yes i am back up and running i think, just need to sort out my channels, thanks for everyones help. is there an easy way to sort the channels?

Do you think I would benefit from changing to a newer image on my box? I'm running Boxcracker Bluepeer V1.0 (dated July 2006) on my Sagem dbo2 1x.

HI AM STILL NOT ON DID IT LAST TIME WITH YOUR HELP AM IN MANCHESTER GOT D BOX2 1.75 NOKIA 2 CHIP ON SPORTSTER. TYPE IN 00 AND THE REST THEN NEXT LINE 01 BUT WHEN BOX RESTARTED THE 01 LINE IS AT THE TOP OR EVEN SOMETIMES WE HAVE 50 LINES BUT ONLY THE 01 HAVE BEEN DUPLICATED BIN AT THIS FOR DAYS HELP IF ANY1 CAN PLEASE

I have recently lost all my channels on my Nokia DBox (sportster). I have read through some of the forums and don't understand a lot of the technical terms.

Judging by a couple of comments i think i may need to hook up the dbox to my computer??

Can anyone help me with a step by step guide for a complete beginner?

 

Dont do a scan for channels if you have the service & Boq files as you will mess them up

Yes get the new Adromeda file in my link and the Manchester files are also there
