set your box to these settings just check that they are correct as follows:-
    Press dbox button on remote
    Scroll to settings press ok
Scroll down to network press ok
In the menu you should have the setting of the dbox
    Ip address 192.168.1.110
    Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    Broadcast 192.168.1.255
    Default gateway 192.168.1.1
    Dns server 192.168.1.1

    set pc to 192.168.1.109
    255.255.255.0
    192.168.1.255

make sure you disable all other network conections and just use the local network conection, one done open ftp

    host 192.168.1.110
    user root
password dbox or dbox2 or if using commado image pass is commando

if still you cant connect you will need to flash with ifa, as password could be anything

null cable and crossover cable is needed then

any further help pm and ill send a detailed tut of my own

It looks like soulefl is using an router and only for FTPing a normal patch cable for an router with enabled DHCP is good enough.
The magic words are enabled dhcp at the dbox and automatic at the pc.

Hope someone can help, I have a dbox2 with the image team commando 7.5

I believe I have downloaded all the up to date keys and also the files:

    nagrarom7.bin
    nagrarom10.bin
    nagrarom11.bin

I have uploaded the files to the var/keys folder and update the file key.txt also I currently have the EMU is set to newcam and I am unable to get the free to air channels or the locked channels? I have tried setting the EMU to mgcam and also evocam with no joy. Every channel is coming up waiting for EPG, should I just reflash the box or is it the case of just updating a file somewhere?

Sorry if there is a solution in a previous post but I have spent around 5 hours trying to get the box working and it is still not playing ball.

once you have the roms in turn box off at the wall turn on everything will pop on just give it a lil time to come on or if no luck download this and pop this whole key file in overrite everthing then unplug back in wait on a channel once on and it ll update and you ll be back with us

When tryin to flash a dbox2 these are the steps i take and it never fails, unless its a crap image deppending, were you source them from, my images are always 2x, because I have the intel 2x chips inside my box. (you can look through the holes on the lid of the box and see inside and just make out the letters on the chips).

Other older boxes like segams will take 1x image, again same process
but again all testing I have done is on 2x images..

Depending on the current status of the dbox, either currently working with an image with FTA channels working properly etc or a kien system message on the front lcd... the screen stays black & the box wont boot up..these steps should help a bit at least..

    You will need-
1: Dbox2 :| an image to use for flashing.
2: pc or laptop with RJ-45 connection
    3: null modem cable
    4: OR
5: network cable (i dont use both together)
    6: Image flashing assistant

    Working system -
    (settings on the dbox)
    Network setup -
    static IP address - 192.168.0.20
    subnet - 255.255.255.0
default gateway - 192.168.0.1 (your router or PC IP )

    Network Setup
connect your network cable to your router / router to your pc using standard RJ-45 patch cables, if using a peer2peer network setup, plug the network cable into the dbox2 then the other end into your pc's network card, assign your pc a static ip to allow the dbox2 and the pc to connect with each other.

1: grab your self a download of IFA (Image flashing Assistant)
2: load it up and select the image to flash,
3: select your network card from the drop down list,
4: click next and it will minimize to the task bar, with a new console window opened up, (this wont display any info, only with a connected Null Modem cable connected, thats later)
5: after you click next go to your Dbox2 unplug it from the wall, wait 2 or 3 sec then plug it back in, if all is well you should see the LCD reading FLASHING once it reads FINISHED unplug your box from the wall...
dont plug it back in yet.
6: Go to your PC and stop IFA or else when you plug back in your dbox2 it will start the flashing process again and we dont want that.
7: after the program stops go to your dbox and start it up,

If the system starts up then you know its all worked well channel scan and see what happens , if you recieve a Kien system error of some kind on the lcd or the screen stays black, chances are that your image is crap, go source another and follow the steps bellow...

Kien system msg (cant remember at this point in time what the error is spelled like somthing along those lines anyway)

Get your self a Null Modem cable, not goin to need any network setup for this, hook it up to the serial port of the dbox2, other end to your port on your pc, i use a Shuttle based pc so never had any problems with serial..

once its hooked up get IFA ready with your Good image, select the cable to flash with and press next, this will output information to the console window which has just poped up, plug in your dbox to the power, if all is good the flashing msg will appear adn bobs your unlce wait for it to finish and unplug from power, go to pc and stop IFA

instead putting the new codes in put the au in then you wont need to put codes in all the time
